Reporters Without Borders
Reporters Without Borders or RSF define themselves as an international, nongovernmental organization of French origin whose objective is to defend the freedom of press in the world and, in particular, defend the journalists persecuted by their professional activity . It was founded by his present Secretary General, Robert Menard, and has his permanent seat in Paris.
The name is inspired by the one of other organizations like Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières). In 2005, Reporters Without Borders received the Sajarov Prize to the freedom of conscience that the European Parliament , sharedwith the movement Ladies of Target grants and Nigerian lawyer Hauwa 2Ibrahim[ ] .

RSF is member of the organization Interchange the International by the Freedom of Expresio’n (IFEX), a world-wide network that groups to associations in defense of the freedom of expression.
